The Exeter Food Bank is available by appointment only

The Exeter Emergency Food Bank (501c3) is separate from the Social Services Dept. However, because it is staffed by volunteers, anyone needing assistance is asked to call the Social Services department to schedule a time to pick up food. Appointments are made for Wednesday mornings beginning at 9 am or Wednesday afternoons. Emergency situations will open the food bank as needed.
Donations to the Food Bank can be dropped off at Town Hall or at the Exeter Public Library.

South County Community Action
"The South County Community Action Agency, a private non-profit 501c3 corporation, has provided a wide variety of services to the disadvantaged people of Washington County and West Greenwich Rhode Island since its establishment during the Johnson Administration’s “War on Poverty” in 1967. Today we have programs that serve families of all backgrounds and economic levels."
For assistance in paying heating/utility bills during the winter months to reduce home-heating costs (gas, electric, propane, oil, kerosene or wood), please call(401) 789-3016 ext. 2337. Applications accepted at 415 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown.
For Emergency Boiler Repair/Boiler Replacement (Replacement for heating systems that are beyond repair). To qualify for replacement, the property must be owner occupied.
