Birth Certificates
Certified Copies
Certified copies of Birth Certificates can be obtained in person or by mail.
Though certified copies of birth certificates for all Town of Exeter residents born through the present can be obtained through the Town of Exeter Clerk's Office, birth certificates for Town of Exeter residents born 1960 through the present can also be obtained through any Rhode Island city or town clerk's office.
Application
If applying in person, please bring the completed form and a valid driver's license to the Clerk's Office during normal business hours. If applying by mail, please send the completed form, a copy of your valid driver's license, check made payable to the "Town of Exeter," and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Payment of the fee can be in the form of cash, check (payable to the "Town of Exeter"), or credit card (a 2% + $1.00 fee will apply) if applying in person. If applying by mail, include a check payable to the "Town of Exeter".
